Changelog

Changes to endpoints, fields, limits and URLs, newest first.

    • ChangedThe default PoC term is now 7 days (was 14). The term can be adjusted by agreement. PoCs that have already started keep their end date. Rate limits
    • DocsCorrected the MCP guide: Data API keys (ck_live_) also connect to the MCP server and open the Data API tools. PRO tools appear only with a PRO API key or OAuth. MCP
    • DocsThe reference now matches the Data API 1.16.0 document. The October 26–28 changes below are in the sidebar and in /openapi.json and /openapi.en.json.
    • AddedData API 1.13.0. US-only GET /us-earnings (list by symbol and filing date, cursor) and GET /us-earnings/{id}: verified figures from 8-K Item 2.02 earnings releases (revenue, operating and net income, GAAP and adjusted EPS, adjusted EBITDA, cash flow and more) in base units, with the prior-year value and change, provenance per figure (table cell or exact quote), margins, company KPIs and outlook, timestamps (SEC acceptance, release read, extraction) and a one- or two-line flash built by code. The detail endpoint adds surprise, the comparison with the last pre-release market consensus.
    • AddedData API 1.14.0. Earnings figures add reaction: the change from the last regular-session close before the announcement to the first regular-session close after it (change_pct), the session of the announcement and a status (measured, pending, unavailable).
    • AddedData API 1.15.0. GET /us-earnings/{id} adds guidance_comparison: for each outlook statement in the release, the change from the company's previous statement for the same period and the position against the market consensus for the same period and measure observed before the release day.
    • AddedData API 1.16.0. Earnings figures add revenue and segment profit per business segment (segments), included only when the segments add up to revenue; the sums compared are in segment_check.
    • AddedWebhook events us_earnings.figures (when verified figures first exist, and again when a new reading changes values) and us_filing.analysis_revoked (when an announced analysis is withdrawn). A corrected re-publication sends us_filing.analysis_published again with a new version (publication.revision, replaces). New subscriptions created without events receive all four; existing subscriptions keep their event lists.
    • AddedKorean /companies/{symbol}/financials adds meta.preliminary_releases: for each preliminary earnings release behind preliminary=true rows, the KRW values as filed, the change, turnaround labels and the pre-release consensus comparison. Row fields are unchanged.
    • AddedData API 1.11.0. US-only GET /us-filings: SEC filings (8-K, 6-K, 10-Q, 10-K, 20-F, 40-F and amendments) of every US-listed company, newest first (filing date, then SEC acceptance time, then id) with cursor. Each item carries cik, 8-K item codes with Korean and English labels, accepted_at, detected_at and analysis (status, headline, publication time, latency). Filters: since/until (acceptance time), from/to (filing date), form, items, symbol and analysis=published. Report bodies are a PRO API feature.
    • AddedData API 1.12.0. Webhooks: POST/GET /webhooks, PATCH/DELETE /webhooks/{id}, POST /webhooks/{id}/test and GET /webhooks/{id}/deliveries, up to 5 per account, for paid tiers and PoCs with the US market. Events us_filing.detected and us_filing.analysis_published carry the same object as a GET /us-filings item and can be filtered by symbol, form and 8-K item code. Requests are signed with the Standard Webhooks scheme (the whsec_ secret is shown once) and retried after 1 min, 5 min, 30 min, 2 h and 6 h; a webhook is disabled after 100 consecutive failures.
    • AddedData API 1.10.0. US-only GET /companies/{symbol}/earnings-surprises (quarterly EPS estimate, actual and surprise history, next release, EPS and revenue estimate trends and revisions) and GET /companies/{symbol}/analyst-ratings (rating and price-target changes, monthly rating distribution, price-target summary). Korean symbols return 400 UNSUPPORTED_MARKET. MCP tools get_us_earnings_surprises and get_us_analyst_ratings map to them.
    • ChangedData API tiers Launch, Business and Scale were added. Every tier uses every endpoint, with per-tier per-minute, daily and AI call limits; Enterprise limits are unchanged. Check the tier in the new plan_tier field and the X-Plan-Tier header. Rate limits
    • ChangedA PoC uses the trial limits of a target tier (Launch, Business or Scale); without a target tier it is Launch. The rule of half the Enterprise limits is retired. Existing PoCs keep plan: poc and X-Plan: PoC.
    • AddedA contract can set a monthly AI call limit. Over it, requests get 429 AI_MONTHLY_QUOTA_EXCEEDED; check it in ai_quota.monthly and the X-AI-Quota-Monthly-* headers.
    • ChangedData API 1.4.0 (effective after the backend deploy). /companies/{symbol}/financials returns the whole ledger sorted by fiscal year and quarter (newest first), then account; periods filled from company IR materials sort in place. Fetch it in pages with limit (default 100, max 200) and cursor; responses carry next_cursor and has_more. Previously a cap of about 100 rows could drop some accounts.
    • AddedMachine-readable fields on financial rows: account_code, fiscal_quarter, period_code (FY2025, 2026Q3), period_end, fs_code, unit_code, report_code. account accepts English codes (revenue, operating_income …) and there is an fs filter. Tables: Conventions.
    • AddedError codes 400 BAD_PERIOD (bad period format), 404 SYMBOL_NOT_FOUND (unknown symbol), 404 NOT_APPLICABLE (fund-type products such as ETFs/ETNs). Previously a bad period could return 200 with unrelated rows.
    • ChangedGuidance unit / unit_scale now describe the values (KRW, USD, scale 1). The old meaning (table unit, KRW 100 million / USD millions) moved to display_unit / display_scale. Update code that read these fields.
    • AddedConsensus unit=raw|eok|million (default raw, unchanged) plus unit, unit_scale and comparison_status per value. US consensus is revenue only and meta.metrics lists only what the market serves.
    • AddedUS filings form / exclude_forms filters and report_code on filing rows. News now includes US articles (market=US, already collected) with lang and title_ko; without market both Korean and US articles are returned (only from the markets in your contract). The symbol filter returns only tag-verified articles, so it can return fewer items than before.
    • ChangedGET /quotes/{symbol} also returns the standard data / meta; data.valuation matches the metrics endpoint. The old top-level fields stay (deprecated).
    • AddedEnglish edition of the Data API document: /openapi.en.json (backend openapi.json?lang=en), used by the English and Japanese reference.
    • DocsQuickstart: company-data example and response envelope, an MCP-is-PRO-API-only notice, curl -G --data-urlencode examples. llms.txt and llms-full.txt links in the docs sidebar, footer and <head>.
    • ChangedAccounts are now issued on request (access request). Log in to the developer console with the account ID and password we send you, then create, rotate and revoke keys yourself. Self sign-up and new free trial keys have ended. Keys you already have keep working.
    • AddedPoC plan (14 days): Enterprise endpoints at half the Enterprise limits, with up to 200 AI calls per day. When it ends, requests stop with 403 POC_ENDED.
    • AddedKey rotation in the console: creates a new key with the same name and scope and revokes the old key immediately.
    • DocsThe developer portal is available in Korean, English and Japanese.
    • AddedNew base URLs https://api.chickstockfi.com/openapi/v1 (Data API) and https://api.chickstockfi.com/openapi/pro/v1 (PRO API). The existing www.chickstockfi.com addresses keep working.
    • AddedThe API reference now includes the PRO API spec. Spec JSON: /openapi-pro.json
    • AddedCreate PRO API keys (ck_pers_) in the developer console. Only accounts with a PRO plan applied can create them.
    • RemovedGET /trending is removed from the docs. The endpoint is no longer offered.
    • DocsNew guides: Quickstart, Authentication, Rate limits, Errors, Data conventions, MCP.
    • DocsCode samples now use curl, JavaScript fetch and Python requests throughout. For other languages, generate a client from the spec JSON.
    • ChangedCustomer-facing paths are now /openapi/v1 (Data API) and /openapi/pro/v1 (PRO API). The older /api/v1 paths still serve the same API.
    • AddedRemote MCP server for PRO plans at https://www.chickstockfi.com/openapi/pro/v1/mcp. Connect with a PRO API key or OAuth 2.1.
    • AddedPRO API (Data · Ask · Bundle plans): filings, financials, quotes, screener, industries, calendars, briefs, reports and conversational questions.
    • ChangedEvery Data API endpoint now requires a key, except the service description (GET /) and opening an original article (/articles/{id}/read).
    • ChangedPrice fields in GET /briefings/{symbol} are null when no value is available, and date is the regular-session trading day.
